In Leningrad Region, reservists will be recruited into “mobile fire groups” to defend against drones

Governor Alexander Drozdenko reported this.

“Mobile fire groups” to fight unmanned aerial vehicles will be deployed at enterprises and infrastructure facilities, and they will also be placed at the disposal of military units stationed in the region.

Drozdenko said that, to staff the groups, the authorities want to recruit reservists, primarily participants in the invasion of Ukraine with combat experience. They will be offered a three-year contract.

The governor promised to employ everyone who signs a contract at enterprises and critical infrastructure organizations. According to him, service in the first months provides for “barracks conditions.”
