Vologda Region authorities introduced payments for first births to residents of other regions

In Vologda Region, starting in April, women under 25 who are not registered as residents in the region can receive a payment of 100,000 rubles for giving birth to their first child, Governor Georgy Filimonov said.

To receive the payment, the woman needs to register the child’s birth at a registry office in the region.

🔵In January, the outlet “7x7” wrote that local authorities were improving the statistics by persuading women who had left Vologda Region to register their children in the region.

In 2025, the regional authorities announced a payment for those who came to give birth from other regions, but then declined to introduce it.
