Sber’s marketplace has disclaimed liability for loss of goods during UAV attacks, following other companies

This concerns the marketplace Megamarket, which belongs to Sberbank. The Telegram channel Mozhem Obyasnit drew attention to the changes in the contract with sellers.

In the document, the company expanded the list of force majeure circumstances under which it does not bear responsibility for the loss of or damage to goods. The updated contract specifically added UAV attacks and other risks related to military actions. Previously, only general wording had been used.

🔵On July 23, it became known that Yandex Market had similarly disclaimed responsibility for failure to fulfill obligations during drone attacks. Ozon and Wildberries had done this earlier.

🔵Megamarket is a marketplace founded in 2017 by the M.Video-Eldorado group. It was originally called Goods.ru. In 2021, Sberbank acquired an 85% stake in the project. Now, information about the platform’s legal entity is not being disclosed, Kommersant wrote.
