Wildberries hid products for the search query “everything for the SMO”

Yesterday, several major Ukrainian news паблики wrote that WB had “removed the ‘Everything for the SMO’ section from the app.” As pointed out by Vot Tak, there was no such section on the marketplace’s website; what was actually involved was the tag wildberries.ru/catalog/tags/vse-dlja-svo with products that the military could presumably use.

Right now, Yandex and Google still offer a WB link with the corresponding tag when searching for “everything for the SMO,” but when you click it, the marketplace says that no matching products were found, TV Rain confirmed.

At the same time, as of May 29, according to a copy of the page saved by Yandex, for the search query “everything for the SMO” WB really did offer some products such as helmets, body armor, and other gear, although most of the products were souvenir items. For example, flags, patches, charms, or stylized photo albums.

🔵At the same time, Vot Tak writes that the products themselves remain on the marketplace, as do “several dozen” active tags related to the war, for example: “SMO products,” “SMO accessories,” and “Supplies for the SMO,” under which WB offers equipment as well as souvenir merchandise.

The War Tag Left the Front Page

The SMO link still appears, but the marketplace now shows no matching products.

The goods stayed, only the embarrassment was removed.
