More than ten journalists are inside the Novaya Gazeta editorial office. There is no contact with them

Novaya Gazeta press secretary Nadezhda Prusenkova told Ostorozhno, Media that more than ten staff members are inside the editorial office, but there is no contact with them.

A SOTAvision correspondent at the scene reports that the situation outside the Novaya Gazeta editorial office building on Potapovsky Lane in Moscow is calm.

According to a RIA Novosti source in law enforcement, the search at the editorial office is connected to an investigation into a case of illegal use of personal data.

Journalist Dmitry Muratov, for his part, said he does not know the reasons for the search.
