A surge in reports of internet problems began around 15:00 local time and peaked by 15:30. Since then, more than two thousand complaints have been recorded.
Reports are coming from subscribers of Mosnet, Inetkom, CityLink, ACBT, and Rostelecom.
Users in the Moscow region are also experiencing problems accessing home internet.
