“Being for Putin is the basic minimum.” United Russia has for the first time since 2007 declared itself the president’s party

At the United Russia party congress in Moscow, they presented a campaign poster featuring the president and the slogan: “Being for Putin is the basic minimum.”

On the poster, which was published among others by the Kremlin pool’s channel, the word “for” is written with a Latin z in place of the first letter, the z that has become a symbol of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Above the main slogan there is a smaller line: “United Russia is the president’s party.”

This is the first time since 2007 that United Russia has declared itself the president’s party. In recent years, Putin had distanced himself from the ruling party, whose chairman’s post has been held by Dmitry Medvedev since 2012.

Minimum Loyalty Goes on the Poster

United Russia again called itself the president's party and put a Latin z on posters.

After all that distance, they signed it larger.
