Kirill Dmitriev may try to convey a message through Melania Trump, a political scientist believes

Putin’s special envoy Kirill Dmitriev may try to use Melania Trump to convey a message that was not passed on through Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, political scientist Georgy Chizhov said on TV Rain.

In his assessment, Dmitriev is “inevitable” in all contacts with America. Chizhov suggests that a message conveyed through the US president’s wife might be heard differently than one conveyed through Witkoff and Kushner.

The political scientist believes Russian and Ukrainian intelligence services organized the humanitarian mission in Oleshky, while Melania Trump became the “flag” for the entire process. He is confident that other similar meetings could take place under her patronage.

There is now hope that similar local ceasefires are possible,

Chizhov said on TV Rain.
