Most likely, you have seen this news item: at the United Russia congress, people were campaigning for the incumbent president with the slogan “Being for Putin is the basic minimum.”
We gave it some thought and put together our own basic minimum. It will come in handy for everyone living in Russia.
🟠 The right not to unlock your phone at police demand without a court order — Article 23 of the Constitution
🟠 The right to know when police may enter a home without your consent;
🟠 The right to invoke Article 51 of the Constitution (it protects you from giving testimony against yourself);
🟠 The right not to speak with law enforcement without a lawyer;
🟠 Prepare a backup phone for crossing the border;
🟠 Ask a police officer for the grounds for checking your documents;
🟠 Do not sign documents without reading them first (and do not leave blank spaces in the report);
🟠 Demand a copy of the report.
