The criminal case against Alexei Blinovsky has been dropped because of his participation in the “special military operation,” TASS reports, citing a law enforcement source.

The husband of the “queen of marathons” had been charged with evading 906 million rubles in taxes and illegally laundering more than 700 million rubles. In 2024, Alexei signed a contract with the Defense Ministry, and proceedings in his criminal case were suspended.

In March 2025, Elena Blinovskaya was sentenced to five years in a penal colony, but a court later reduced her sentence to four years and six months.
