Altai bans refueling cars more than once a day
The Altai Republic has tightened the rules for refueling cars. Now it is forbidden to refuel more than once every 24 hours, the regional government reported. According to the authorities, the restrictions are aimed at reducing the frenzy and speculation.
Previously, the limits reset at midnight, and residents tried to get two daily quotas at once, before and after midnight.
“Traffic regulation is needed to make sure everyone is provided for, both essential services and citizens,” said Prime Minister Alexander Prokopyev.

They are also trying to use their connections in Moscow to get ahead of their colleagues in the scramble for fuel.
