Bastrykin said the Investigative Committee is actively using artificial intelligence in investigations


The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, spoke about this in an interview with Interfax.


According to him, the analysis of biometric data has already allowed the Investigative Committee to examine three thousand video files "with a total volume of information exceeding two terabytes" and to "identify more than 400 people in a short period of time."


The data "made it possible to identify persons involved in collecting funds to carry out acts of a terrorist and extremist nature, as well as in inciting Russian citizens to commit unlawful acts," Bastrykin said.
