Two people were killed and at least five were injured as a result of strikes by Russian forces on regions of Ukraine overnight
On the night of July 27, Russian troops attacked the Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reports. According to the state service:
🔹In Zaporizhzhia, a 67-year-old man was killed. Two residential buildings were destroyed, and neighboring buildings and cars were damaged. One more person was pulled from under the rubble and handed over to medics.
🔹In Izium in the Kharkiv region, three people were wounded as a result of an airstrike. After the attack, a hangar and a warehouse with a total area of 500 square meters caught fire.
🔹In the Dnipropetrovsk region, two people were injured, including a six-year-old boy. It is reported that overnight Russian forces attacked four districts of the region more than 20 times, damaging residential buildings, a kindergarten, a gymnasium, shops, businesses, and infrastructure facilities.
🔹Sumy was hit with seven guided aerial bombs and was then attacked by drones, the State Emergency Service said. Residential buildings, infrastructure, a business, and a shopping center were damaged. The State Emergency Service reported casualties but did not specify their number.
🔹In the Mykolaiv region, a man was killed as a result of a drone attack, acting regional administration head Heorhii Reshetylov said. According to him, port infrastructure was hit.
