According to the security service, a Khabarovsk resident born in 1971 "proactively established contact" with representatives of New Zealand's Security Intelligence Service, which is part of the Five Eyes intelligence alliance (the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand). Acting on instructions from a foreign intelligence service, the man, for mercenary motives, passed on information via foreign mail services and messengers that could be used against Russia's security.
