The band Stoptime released a new album and once again found itself at the center of heated arguments

Last summer, 18-year-old Diana Loginova and 22-year-old Alexander Orlov had only just started dating. They founded their band, called it Stoptime, and began performing on the streets of St. Petersburg.

By autumn, the band had already drawn attention, and videos of their covers of banned songs by “foreign agents” went viral on social media and reached the security forces. In November, after a سلسلة of carousel arrests, the musicians had to leave Russia.

Half a year later, they released their first album. Meduza tells what the musicians went through during the arrests, and what they are hoping for now while living in exile.
