Zelensky: In Russia They Fear Drones Will Be Flying Over Red Square

Speaking at the European Political Community summit in Yerevan, Zelensky said that in Moscow they fear a drone attack during the May 9 parade.

According to him, this summer will be “that moment when Putin will decide what to do next: escalate this war or move to a diplomatic path, and we must push him toward diplomacy”:

Russia has announced the May 9 parade, but there will be no military equipment in that parade. This will be the first time, if that is indeed the case, in many, many years when they cannot afford to have equipment present at the parade.

In Russia, they fear that drones will be flying over Red Square. This shows that they are no longer as strong as they used to be.

We must keep up the pressure, pressure them with sanctions. And I thank you for the 20th sanctions package.

🔵Earlier, Peskov said that the May 9 parade in Moscow would take place without military equipment because of a terrorist threat from Kyiv.

🔵A parade without military equipment will take place in Moscow for the first time since 2007.

UPD: We initially took Zelensky’s quote about drones at the parade from a video with simultaneous translation into Ukrainian. Later, the original in English was published, where the phrase sounds like “in Russia they fear that drones will be flying over Red Square.” We corrected the mistake and updated the post.
