Russia to classify data on gasoline price increases

Last week, the government amended the Federal Plan of Statistical Work, and now Rosstat will no longer publish the bulletin on consumer prices for gasoline and diesel fuel. The specialized Telegram channel "Lutset" drew attention to this.

As The Bell writes, the government order does indeed say that statistical indicators under the category "Information on consumer prices for petroleum products" will be concealed. This bulletin contains fuel prices broken down by grade (AI-92/95/98/diesel), by region, and across 1,800 gas stations in 280 cities. In effect, the information that made it possible to monitor and verify fuel inflation will disappear.

Data on the dynamics of consumer fuel prices is published every Wednesday at 19:00 Moscow time.
