❗️Another piece of evidence that a “UAV contract” will bring nothing good to the Russians who sign it.
An officer from the command of the Russian Armed Forces’ “West” group of troops “leaked” online a list of servicemen from the UAV units of the 752nd Guards Motor Rifle Regiment (military unit 34670) whom commander Lieutenant Colonel Dmitry Nikolayevich Plyusnin (born 03.07.1981) transferred into assault units.
The published data contains the names of 44 servicemen, and they are far from ordinary soldiers: heads of UAV crews, squad leaders, senior operators, and drivers of unmanned aerial vehicle crews. Their commander-fathers spat on their specialized training and experience working with drones and threw them all “into the meat grinder” - immediately after the transfer they were all sent on combat missions.
According to available information, the reason for this decision (and it is obvious) lies in the shortage of personnel. For months now, the Ukrainian military has been taking out more people than the Russian repressive-mobilization system is bringing into the “SMO.” In such a situation, no new recruit in the Russian Armed Forces is in any way insured against ending up as assault infantry. No matter what skills he has and no matter what contract he signs. The same fate awaits the students who are now being actively lured supposedly into service in UAV units (we previously published the names of more than 1,000 recruited directly in universities).

Drone Contract, Assault Duty Anyway
UAV operators and crew leaders were moved into assaults over a manpower shortage.
Specialization ended at the transfer list.
