Court declares the word “fart” a symbol of the AUE “extremist movement”
A court in Buryatia fined two inmates of Penal Colony No. 2 for displaying the symbols of the AUE “extremist movement,” among which the word “fart” is mentioned separately, Verstka noticed.
According to the documents, protocols under Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code were drawn up against inmates Sambu Radnabazarov and Aleksandr Goncharov. Moreover, the rulings imposing fines on them are practically identical, differing only in the names of the inmates themselves.
The rulings state that Radnabazarov and Goncharov were learning to write. They signed postcards using the words “fart” and “With prisoner’s respect.” FSIN officers who saw this considered the words to be a display of the symbols of an extremist organization.
Both inmates admitted guilt in committing the offense.
“He did not understand the meaning of these words. Now he has understood and does not use these expressions,” both rulings say.
As a result, the court fined Radnabazarov and Goncharov 1,000 rubles each.
Previously, state institutions and courts associated the word “fart” with AUE only when it was used as part of slogans: “fartu masti” or “fartu masti AUE!”
