Voting against United Russia equated with supporting Zelensky
Voting against United Russia equated with supporting Zelensky
State Duma deputy Oleg Matveychev said that voting against the United Russia party in the September 18–20 elections is equivalent to supporting Zelensky. According to him, Russian voters face a choice between Putin and the Ukrainian president.
"Now let us turn to the voters. Here, too, everything is absolutely clear. Recently, Zelensky openly stated that he dreams of United Russia being defeated in the autumn elections and will do everything possible to make that happen. Russian voters, in essence, now face a simple choice: who are they with, Putin or Zelensky? If with Putin, they vote for United Russia. If with Zelensky, they vote against it. There is no other option," the deputy noted.
When the Ballot Becomes Foreign Policy
A deputy reduced the election to choosing Putin or Zelensky.
The ballot itself now counts as disloyalty.
