Nina Ostanina saidthat the government is concealing the scale of the fuel crisis

According to the State Duma deputy, almost a third of the country’s oil refineries have been put out of operation, but deputy prime ministers and ministers are not talking about it. Ostanina wrote about this in her Telegram channel.

She warned of more serious consequences of the crisis and also said that its consequences could affect the results of the State Duma elections in September:

Some gas stations in the Vladimir and Moscow regions are cordoned off with tape. There are no lines. There’s no gasoline either. A line of trucks and lorries means only one thing: prices for the goods they carry will inevitably jump, if not tomorrow, then by autumn. I am sure people will think hard about whom to entrust their fate to in September. And no DEGs and three-day voting will help certain people.

This reaction was apparently triggered by yesterday’s statement by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. He said that Russia has a fuel shortage “at certain gas stations,” but overall, in his opinion, “the domestic market is supplied with both gasoline and diesel fuel.”
