The Investigative Committee is proposing tougher penalties for crimes committed using AI — the agency has already prepared such a bill, Bastrykin said in an interview with Interfax.

“This qualifying feature should be applied прежде всего to those acts where information and communication technologies and artificial intelligence serve as the main means of achieving a criminal result or of repeatedly increasing the scale of harm (for example, cyber fraud, illegal trafficking of data, attacks on critical information infrastructure),” he explained.
