Zelensky: ‘Only “Moscow Island,” not Crimea, can force Putin to stop the fighting’


The president of Ukraine said that Putin’s claims about his “tender feelings” for annexed Crimea do not correspond to reality.


“All his stories about how he knows Crimea, loves it, and needs it are lies. Just like the east of our country, he knows it only from his officers’ reports,” Zelensky said (quoted by RBC-Ukraine).


In his opinion, only a threat to Moscow, not the situation around Crimea, can force Putin to stop military operations against Ukraine.
