A free app called "Pereplet" with tamizdat books has launched in Russia.

Independent Russian-language publishers joined forces and launched the mobile app "Pereplet." "Pereplet" is an online reader that brings together under one cover contemporary tamizdat: books published outside Russia that are now difficult or impossible to buy inside the country.

The project was created as a joint initiative by independent publishers to give Russians free access to current literature. At the moment, the catalog includes more than 100 books from publishers such as Meduza, FRESH Verlag, Babel, Vidim Books, ISIA Media, Uberbau, Historical Expertise, and others.

In Russia, the app is not only free but also completely safe for the user: it does not collect any personal data, books are not downloaded into the phone's memory and are available only inside the app, the app can be deleted with one click, and after reinstalling it you can restore your library using a code phrase.
