A record number of Russians in 20 years said their standard of living has declined.

↘️ 56% of Russians believe their standard of living is getting worse. This is the highest figure in the entire history of observations and 13 percentage points higher than a year ago.

↘️ 60% are convinced that the economic situation in the country is deteriorating, also a record figure.

↘️ For the first time, more than half of respondents assess Russia's economic prospects pessimistically.

Against this background, trust in state institutions is falling:

↘️ 66% trust the army, the lowest level since 2013;

↘️ 53% trust the government, the lowest since 2021;

↘️ 34% trust the media, the lowest figure in the entire period of observation.

The authors of the study note that after the surge in public support in the first months of the full-scale war, optimism gave way to persistent economic pessimism.
