Zelensky Announced a “Silence Regime” Starting at 00:00 on the Night of May 5-6

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this on his Telegram channel:

“As of today, there has not been a single official appeal to Ukraine regarding the conditions for a halt in hostilities being discussed on Russian social networks. We believe that human life is an incomparably greater value than the ‘celebration’ of any anniversary. In this regard, we are announcing a silence regime starting at 00:00 on the night of May 5-6.

In the time remaining until then, it is genuinely possible to ensure that silence takes hold. We will act symmetrically starting from the specified moment. It is time for the Russian leadership to take real steps toward ending their war, if the Russian Defense Ministry really believes it cannot hold a parade in Moscow without Ukraine’s goodwill.”
