Russian media fabricated a Ukrainian Armed Forces drone strike on a Minsk-Anapa tourist bus in Bryansk Region. The photo of the strike’s aftermath was AI-generated, and there was no strike on the bus itself, Flagstok reports.

The incident took place on July 2 at the "Krasny Kamen" customs crossing between Russia and Belarus in Bryansk Region.

The initial report about a strike on the bus appeared in a number of regional and major Russian media outlets. Later, Belarusian television aired a report on the incident that made it clear that no one touched the civilian bus, and that the strike hit a DAF truck 12 meters from the bus instead (photo 3).

Screenshot 1 shows the AI-generated image of the bus.

The bus windows were indeed blown out, but apparently this happened as a result of the blast wave from the strike on the DAF truck, not from a direct hit.

What was in the DAF truck, which burned down as a result of the strike, is unknown. But for some reason Russian media kept silent about the truck and deliberately put the emphasis on the civilian bus.

"Thus, it can be asserted that the network of Russian media outlets and TG channels knowingly spread a lie by reporting a deliberate strike on the front of the Belarusian bus, while concealing the real picture of events," Flagstok concludes.

But that is not all: Belarusian Security Council Secretary Alexander Volfovich did not play along with Russian propaganda and himself indirectly refuted the claim of a strike on the bus, while also urging Belarusians not to travel (!) to Russia’s border regions:

▪️The Belarusian bus was not specifically selected as, so to speak, the target. It was a bus moving by chance through Bryansk Region, and a drone happened to fall on the road between two highways.

▪️We did warn people, the president repeatedly spoke and said: dear Belarusians, refrain from traveling to Russia today, especially to the border regions. Drones fall there every day, and such unpleasant incidents happen.
