Russia to Receive Jet Fuel From Japan

Amid a fuel crisis, Russia is preparing to import a shipment of jet fuel produced in Japan through a chain of traders, Reuters sources said.

According to them, at least 200,000 barrels of kerosene will be loaded in early July at the Japanese port of Chiba. They will first be sent to South Korea, then transferred from one tanker to another near the South Korean port of Yeosu and shipped to Russia. The final destination is unknown.

The shortage of aviation fuel is growing along with the shortage of gasoline and diesel amid Ukrainian strikes on oil refineries in Russia’s regions.
