Russia has rewritten its history textbook again

RBC reviewed the new edition of the 11th-grade history textbook written by Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky and MGIMO rector Anatoly Torkunov.

Compared with last year’s version, the section of the textbook titled “Russia Today. Special Military Operation (SMO)” was rewritten the most heavily. Among other things, it now includes mention of the Trump administration’s “positive role” in a peaceful settlement and an account of the meeting between the U.S. and Russian presidents in Anchorage.
