Putin’s rating is fallingagain. But now at the fastest pace of the entire war

The level of Russians’ trust in Vladimir Putin fell by 3.4 percentage points over the course of a week, to 73.3%. This follows from the results of a VTsIOM poll conducted from June 22 to 28.

This is the sharpest drop in Putin’s trust rating at least since the start of the war, Agentstvo noted. Earlier in 2026, the fastest drop had been at the beginning of April, when the president’s trust rating fell by 1.8 percentage points in a week.

Putin’s performance as president was approved by 66.9% of those surveyed, which is 3.5 percentage points lower than a week earlier. The last time the president’s approval rating fell this sharply was in August 2024. Putin’s performance is not approved by 21.3% of respondents (a week earlier it was 19.7%).
