Zelensky Proposed That Putin Hold a Meeting in Konstantinovka

Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian claims that Konstantinovka had come under the control of Russian troops do not correspond to reality. He said this during a phone call with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

"Now, on the eve of US Independence Day, Putin has decided to lie to the world and to the US president about the situation at the front: he is claiming that the Russians supposedly captured Konstantinovka in Donbas. Of course, that is not true. It is just another Russian lie to put out at least some kind of news...

If Konstantinovka is now under Russian control, then apparently Putin should have no problem meeting me there and finding diplomatic solutions to finally end the war. But he still will not cross the front line: the truth is very different from Putin's words".

Meeting at the Imaginary Capture Site

Zelensky invited Putin to Konstantinovka to test his claim.

The lie stopped at the front line.
