After the incident, the Petrogradsky District Court placed the suspect under house arrest, the city’s joint press service of the courts reported.
According to investigators, on the evening of June 30 at a Rosneft gas station, a conflict between two men escalated into a fight. One of the participants struck the other man in the chest with an object resembling a knife. A criminal case has been opened under the article on causing grievous bodily harm.
The suspect said he got scared when he saw a gun in his opponent’s possession, so he took a knife from his car and stabbed him once. The injured man claims he pulled out the weapon only to stop the fight, and afterward went to the hospital himself, where he was admitted.
