❗️Russian servicemen who were held captive in Ukraine are surrendering en masse for a second time. As of today, 20 Russian POWs, after being exchanged, have again surrendered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

It is no secret that, unlike Ukraine, Russian law does not provide any option to leave the army for those who were released from captivity. While Ukrainian servicemen returned from Russian captivity have the right to be discharged from military service, Russians after an exchange face only being sent back to the front.

When we say goodbye to Russian prisoners of war during exchanges and ask them how they imagine returning home, most of them do not believe that a new trip into the hell of war is waiting for them in the very near future. But then reality sets in, and once again they face a choice: be killed or save their lives by surrendering.

Russian propaganda and political officers do everything possible to keep Russian soldiers from surrendering, and in case of injury, to simply kill themselves. Many do exactly that - drone footage alone has recorded hundreds of cases of Russian servicemen committing suicide. There are so many that we have already stopped counting and collecting these videos.

But those who have been through Ukrainian captivity know perfectly well that everything various Kashvarovs and other propagandists lie to them about is in reality ordinary agitprop. They lived in Ukrainian POW camps, where they were treated in accordance with international humanitarian law, where they had the opportunity to work, rest, and maintain contact with the outside world.

These people are living proof of reality. So when, after the exchange, they were sent back to the front again, they made a rational choice and surrendered once more. Because why die for someone else's interests when the sons of Mishustin, Kiriyenko, Medvedev, Peskov, and Patrushev continue to live their best lives, spending state money far from the war?
