France is expelling former RT France editor-in-chief Kseniya Fedorova
On July 29, the Paris police prefecture handed Fedorova’s lawyer a ministerial order for her deportation. The document says that Fedorova "acts as a relay for disinformation campaigns directed by the Russian authorities" with the aim of "destabilizing public order" in the country.
In addition, she "contributes to the spread of disinformation and destabilization rhetoric" aimed at "manipulating public opinion" and "undermining the trust of European citizens, and French citizens in particular, in their institutions."
RT France stopped broadcasting in January 2023. After the channel was shut down, Fedorova remained in France and published memoirs there titled "Exiled. Freedom of Speech on условно" ("Bannie. Liberté dʼexpression sous condition"). In May 2026, Politico and RFI’s Russian service reported that Fedorova had taken a job at the French right-wing conservative TV channel CNews.
