Raids against alternative teenagers will take place in St. Petersburg shopping centers in August and September. This was reported by the outlet “Caution, Petersburg,” citing local officials.

They will be looking for “radically minded youth” based on “distinctive external attributes in clothing, various accessories associated with informal antisocial groups.” No one explains what those attributes are.

This will not be the first time such a thing has happened in Russia. In July, in Moscow’s Kitay-Gorod, security forces carried out a mass roundup of teenagers. Dozens of young people were detained, insulted, and shocked with stun guns. In the end, no reports were ever drawn up against them.
