Peskov Says the “Special Military Operation” Has Turned Into a Real War

In an interview with Vesti correspondent Pavel Zarubin, Dmitry Peskov said that what began as a “special military operation” is now continuing as a war because of Western countries’ involvement in the conflict.

“A war is underway, it is a real war. It continues as a war because behind Kyiv stand Berlin, Paris, The Hague, Oslo, and, unfortunately, Washington,” he said. According to Peskov, Western countries are helping Ukraine direct foreign weapons at Russian targets through their satellite infrastructure.

Putin’s press secretary also called Ukraine’s strikes on facilities of Russia’s energy complex and civilian infrastructure “terrorist,” saying that facilities not connected to the military-industrial complex should not be subject to attack.
