In Moscow, a streamer was detained and beaten after waving at a passing police van

On Friday evening, streamer Vitaly, whose handle is ya\\dalb\\b, started a live broadcast of his walk with friends around Kitay-Gorod on Twitch.

He said that during the walk, one of the passersby advised him not to go any farther because “they’re about to take him away now.” At that moment, a police van drove by, and Vitaly decided to wave at it. After that, a police officer ran out of the vehicle and detained the guy.

According to the streamer, during the detention he was hit several times in the face and legs: “Here they are grabbing me by the scruff and throwing me around, f\\\ng hell, like ten people. They just start beating the sh\\ out of me, just smashed me in the f\\king face. So you understand, right now I’m just limping, I can’t walk, f\\\.”

“They threw me into the police van like an animal. They humiliated us, talked mad sh\t to us. One of the police officers took a stun gun and started f\\king everyone up with it. He hit my buddy with the stun gun three times.” Vitaly also said they promised to shave him. According to him, there were 12- to 13-year-old kids in the police van who were beaten the same way as the adults.

At the police station, according to the blogger, everyone’s phones were checked. In one detainee’s gallery, security officers found a swastika: “The guy had painted nails, and the operatives started mocking him because he allegedly wanted to change his gender.”

Vitaly said that at the station, he and the other detainees were questioned about what they had been doing at the place where they were detained and whether they were intoxicated. Their passport details were written down, their faces were photographed, and after that they were released without any reports being drawn up.

He later located his iPhone through iCloud in that same police van, but already at a different location where detentions were also taking place. After a long round of pleading, he got it back.
