Uzbek citizen Bobur Siddikov was detained in Russia on fabricated charges and ended up in prison through deception. His letters and appeals to Uzbek authorities led nowhere, but since Russia has been actively recruiting prisoners into the army, he avoided a long sentence by signing a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense.

After just three days in the Russian army, Bobur surrendered. But even in that short time, he formed a clear understanding of the war, the inhumane treatment of people in the Russian army, and the scale of destruction brought to Ukrainian territory.
