“Zeroing out is basically routine. There were many cases when people were immediately taken away to an unknown destination.”

About the “delights” of service in the 1435th Motorized Rifle Regiment (military unit 95375) of the 27th Motorized Rifle Division, a serviceman of the regiment, Dmitry Yuryevich Zhizhin (14.05.1989), speaks from his own experience. He may already have been removed from the unit’s roster, since he recorded the video and passed it to his relatives as a farewell message in case of his death, asking them to distribute it if he stopped getting in touch.

It cannot be said that what Dmitry describes is especially surprising: recently another serviceman from the 1435th Motorized Rifle Regiment also spoke about the lawlessness there:

But every time you listen to all this, you are struck by what kind of pushovers people have to be to allow this kind of treatment of their own soldiers.

As soon as Dmitry arrived at the regiment, they immediately put him “on the meter” because he had received the payment for signing the contract and therefore automatically became “indebted” to company commander Vladimir Semenov and battalion commander Vladimir Kadykin. They collected 900,000 rubles each from him and the other pushovers, money “earned” for signing the contract.

Those who refused to pay and did nothing to resist the lawlessness were “zeroed out.” As Dmitry says, out of a batch of 27 replacements, only 4 remained after that, and now they are finally ready to testify. Well then, apparently this is the answer to the cowardice of Russian soldiers.

We remind servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces: it does not matter to us how you ended up in the war. We are giving you a real chance to get out of there alive and with all your limbs. There is no point paying butcher-commanders and waiting for your turn to be “zeroed out” — choose life. Leave a request in the “I Want to Live” chatbot, and we will help you.

The regiment took 900,000 and zeroed out those who refused.

The contract turned into a fee for disappearing.
