The Central Election Commission gave Yabloko two days to fix violations in candidates’ documents for the State Duma elections

The commission found 19 violations in the documents of candidates on Yabloko’s federal party list and six among candidates in single-mandate constituencies.

They must be corrected by July 8, while the meeting on admitting Yabloko’s candidates to the State Duma elections will take place on July 10.

Central Election Commission head Ella Pamfilova said the violations were mostly formal: for some candidates, the residential address did not match the address in the passport; for some, the residential address was not listed or there was no signature on the statement of consent to be nominated:

It is clear that these are simply sloppy technical mistakes, and there are not that many of them. If you can [fix them] earlier, excellent, you will make life easier for us.
