Ramzan Kadyrov Nominated for the Chechen Head Election. At the Same Time, He Said He’s Running ‘Out of Necessity’...
Ramzan Kadyrov was nominated for the election for head of Chechnya. At the same time, he said he is running “out of necessity.”
“To be honest, I’m not happy that I’m going to the election. If you ask me, I would choose another candidate, because it is a great responsibility, I know how difficult this task is. A lot of work has been invested in the republic, and today we have preserved the team, and the team works like a good clock. Today I am, you could say, forced to go to the election. I am sure the people will support me. If the people support me, then I am ready to serve the people,” explained the modest man, who has headed the region for 19 years.
A Heavy Burden for 19 Years
Kadyrov is running out of necessity after 19 years in power.
Another candidate somehow never appeared.
