Nighttime ban on motor vehicles introduced in Belgorod Region

A ban on the use of motor vehicles at night has been introduced in Belgorod Region: a decree by acting Governor Alexander Shuvaev has been published on the regional government’s website.

According to the document, starting today it is prohibited in the region to travel by motorcycles, trikes, ATVs, mopeds, pit bikes, and motor scooters from 22:00 to 06:00. What the penalty will be for violating the ban remains unclear.

In April, former Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov called on motorcyclists not to race around at night, because residents of the region are afraid of loud sounds and mistake them for the buzzing of drones.
