“Pepel.Belgorod”: Akhmat fighters robbed several houses in a border village in Belgorod Region

The Telegram channel “Pepel.Belgorod,” citing local residents, writes that on April 9, several cars carrying Chechen servicemen arrived in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Shebekino district. It is claimed that instead of license plates, the cars had the word “Akhmat” written on them.

According to eyewitnesses, the soldiers broke open the doors of houses and garages and carried belongings out of them. Locals who objected to what was happening were threatened with weapons, “Pepel.Belgorod” writes.

It is claimed that when one resident took out his phone to record what was happening on camera, he was hit with the butt of an assault rifle.

The military police arrived, but they were also told to fuck off. They couldn’t do anything. They just chickened out! We appealed to [the head of the Novaya Tavolzhanka administration, Sergei] Parika — he just throws up his hands. Local channels are silent. How are we supposed to live now?

Drones, shelling. There had been cases of theft and looting before, but not in broad daylight. Soldiers who used to be convicts walk around the village drunk. But the scariest are these bearded men with assault rifles, whom the military police are afraid of,

the outlet quotes a Tavolzhanka resident as saying.

“Pepel.Belgorod” writes that the fact of looting was confirmed by several village residents who do not currently live there, but heard about the robberies from those who remained.
