Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke at the NATO summit in Ankara.

🔹He stressed, in particular, that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had “destroyed the very idea that Russia has a strategic rear.”

For a long time, Russia considered its territory to be an advantage. No one else had such a deep rear, where military production and military equipment could be safely stationed, everything war depends on, with the confidence that no one would be able to reach it.

But we reached it. Just yesterday, Ukrainian drones broke through Russian defenses and struck a Russian oil refinery in Siberia. And this is not an exception, this is the new reality,

🔹Zelensky said that Ukraine has the most advanced drone capabilities in the world and called on others to join the Drone Deal initiative, writes RBC-Ukraine.

🔹Zelensky also said that Ukraine must become part of NATO’s collective defense.

“Do you really think it is right to leave outside NATO a country and a people with this level of defense potential? If we already have such capabilities, if Ukrainians already know how to fight this way, then it is entirely logical for this potential to become part of the alliance’s collective defense,” he said.

🔹According to Zelensky, drones are playing the most important role on the front line. “We are saying this only to show what modern war looks like, a war that we did not start, but one we are forced to fight,” he stressed.

He added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ effectiveness in destroying Russian Shahed drones reaches 90%.

🔹The Ukrainian president also called for support for Patriot production in Ukraine and for speeding up the creation of a European system to protect against ballistic missiles.
