The Digital Development Ministry may cut up to 15% of its staff and transfer some functions to other agencies, including the FSB, RBC reports, citing sources.

According to them, Deputy Ministers Sergey Kuchushev and Alexander Shoitov, who oversees information security, may also leave the ministry. The possible departure of Yevgeny Khasin, the acting head of the cybersecurity department, is also being considered.

The optimization of the structure began about a month and a half ago. As part of it, the redistribution of the information security department's functions among other divisions of the Digital Development Ministry, as well as the FSB and FSTEC, is being discussed.
