Putin said that Ukraine is striking oil refineries to “create a nervous atmosphere”
“It is completely obvious that the enemy is seeking to damage the economy. But the main thing is that it is seeking to create a nervous atmosphere in society. You and I understand that this task is impossible,” Putin said at a meeting with members of the government.
The president said that “the resilience margin of Russia’s energy system is very high, one of the highest in the world.” He called on companies not to “hold back product” within their own gas station networks, but to supply fuel to independent gas stations.
Putin added that the fuel problems are temporary and are also connected to Ukraine’s attempt to disrupt the vacation season.
