Fuel prices in Russia have started rising faster

The Bell reports, citing Rosstat data, that over the week from June 30 to July 6 gasoline went up by 2.1%, while diesel fuel rose by 3.4%.

On July 6, a liter of AI-92 cost 70.21 rubles, AI-95 cost 76.19 rubles, and AI-98 and higher cost 98.04 rubles. A liter of diesel fuel cost an average of 87.76 rubles nationwide.

During the week from June 23 to 29, according to Rosstat, gasoline rose by 1.6% and diesel fuel by 2.2%.

As The Bell notes, this time Rosstat did not separately specify which region saw the sharpest price increase. During the week from June 30 to July 6, that was annexed Sevastopol, where gasoline prices rose by 30%.
