The International Volleyball Federation has allowed Russian athletes to take part in world competitions

This is stated in an FIVB press release.

"In accordance with the previous decision of the FIVB Administrative Council to follow the recommendations of the IOC Executive Board, as well as following the recent decision of the IOC Executive Board that its recommended participation conditions concerning Russian athletes and teams no longer apply, Russian athletes and technical officials in all disciplines will be permitted to return to FIVB competitions, world championships, and official competitions," it says.

In addition, the FIVB has allowed the reinstatement of the Russian national teams in the world ranking, with the same number of ranking points they had at the time those points were frozen by decision of the FIVB Administrative Council.

"In addition, the display of the Russian flag, anthem, colors, or any other identifying marks will be at the discretion of the FIVB and the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and will be decided in due course in consultation with the relevant international sports organizations to ensure the full participation of athletes," the organization said in its statement.

🔵Earlier, the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) conditionally lifted the suspension of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), which had been in effect since October 12, 2023.
