Trump promised to give Ukraine a license to produce Patriot missiles and called the strikes on Russian oil refineries an escalation that "could help bring the conflict to an end"

The US president said this at a meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky at the NATO summit in Ankara.

"This is what we will be talking about: we are going to give you a license to produce Patriot missiles. Pretty cool, right? So he (Zelensky, ed. note) will no longer be able to complain that we are not supplying enough of them. Make them yourselves," Donald Trump said.

Commenting on Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes on Russian oil facilities, he said that this is "an escalation, but an escalation that could lead to the end (of the war, ed. note)."
