Minors are the fastest-growing category in the register of “terrorists” and “extremists.” If you are worried about your child, write to “First Line”

Since February 2022, the share of teenagers among new entries in Rosfinmonitoring’s register of “terrorists” and “extremists” has grown more than eightfold. Now every twelfth person on the list is a minor. This is stated in a study by Pervy Otdel.

Here are just a few (frightening) figures:

🟧 465 teenagers are in the Rosfinmonitoring register as of early summer 2026;

🟧 the youngest people listed are 14 years old;

🟧 nearly 28 times more minors were added to the register from 2024 to 2026 compared with the 2019-2021 period;

🟧 88.8% of those listed are in the “terrorist” section of the register.

Pressure on children because of their views and statements, propaganda in educational institutions, conscription risks and pro-war events, threats of persecution for their views, provocations by security forces: all of this is becoming a source of fear, confusion, and helplessness for many parents.

How do you talk to a child about safety? How do you support them while also dealing with your own anxiety? What should you do if the family has already faced pressure?

➡️ Talk about it with a psychologist! This summer, “First Line” is providing psychological support to parents whose children are facing pressure from the state.

Write to the “First Line” psychological support Telegram bot.

A psychologist will reply to you and arrange a consultation time with you in the chat. Consultations are free and anonymous.
